HUSD #3 McKinney-Vento Act Information

The Holbrook Unified School District offers assistance to students of families that may be experiencing difficulties with living arrangements.  If a student is:
  • An unaccompanied youth- living by themselves
  • Living in a motel, hotel, camp ground due to the lack of adequate accommodations
  • Living with relatives temporarily
  • Living in temporary unstable living conditions due to a loss of housing, economic hardship or something similar
  • Living in emergency or transitional shelters
  • Living in a public or private place not designed for ordinary living accommodations
  • Living in cars, parks, public places, abandon buildings, substandard housing, bus or train stations
  • Are migratory
  • Are waiting for foster care placement
 These students may be able to receive assistance from our school district to receive a free and appropriate education.
