Holbrook High School Inducts New Members to the National Honor Society

NHS Inductees

The Roadrunner Chapter of the National Honor Society conducted a ceremony to induct new members on December 5, 2018, at the George Gardner Performing Arts Center.

Sam Yellowhair finished in the top 10 at the AYBR Finals for Junior Bull Riding.

Jaken Todacheenie takes 1st place at the National Team Roping rodeo in Wickenburg

Jaken Todacheenie Holbrook High School junior Jaken Todacheenie, son of Julye and Julian Todacheenie of Indian Wells, captured 1st place at the National Team Roping rodeo that was held on November 23, 2018, in Wickenburg.  Besting a field of 762 teams, Jaken became the November Livin' for Ropin' Truck Winner and took home a 4-door Dually Ford F350 Super Duty.  When one Roadrunner succeeds, we all succeed!

Abigayle Nez qualifies for State in Cross-Country

Abigayle Nez placed 17 out of 102 competitors at the Division III Section 4 cross country tournament and qualified for state.

Donovan John to represent HHS at the AIA Individual State Chess Championships

        Holbrook High School Junior Donovan John placed second in the AIA Regional Individual State Championship Chess Qualifier. Donovan will be representing HHS in the AIA Individual State Chess Championship taking place at Chandler High School on November 16th and 17th. Congratulations to Donovan and the entire team for their dedication and a great season!

Joshua Romo finalist in the Arizona Milk Producers' Scholarship Contest

Josh Romo Joshua Romo was recently selected as a finalist in the Arizona Milk Producers' Scholarship Contest. The competition, open to all Arizona college-bound seniors, promotes milk and other dairy products through student-submitted video clips featured on Instagram at #AMPscholarshipcontest. In addition to receiving a $50 gift certificate to Fry's Grocery Store and a pair of tickets to this year's Fiesta Bowl, Josh is now eligible to win up to $12,000 in scholarship money. The top three scholarship winners will be announced at the Fiesta Bowl on January 1st.
