Dismissal Procedures

At Hulet, we prioritize the safety of our students during the busy end-of-day rush when many people are on campus. To ensure that all students reach their expected destinations safely, it is crucial that all dismissal procedures are followed.

For parent pickup, students will be dismissed on the South side of the school, in a gated area near the fifth-grade classrooms. Parents should join the pickup line on Sixth Avenue from West Florida Street to avoid congestion. Exiting the roundabout, you are required to turn right only.

If you choose not to join the pickup line, please do not park along Erie Street or Buffalo Street. Students must use the crosswalks with crossing guards located on Sixth and Buffalo, as well as 6th and Erie. Please do not pick them up from the school and cross without a crossing guard.

Walkers

For students who walk, dismissal procedures will depend on the direction they are walking. Those walking north of the school will need to use the crosswalks located on Sixth and Erie. Please note that there will be no crossing guard at 7th and Erie. On the other hand, those walking south of the school will need to line up and walk together across 6th and Buffalo.

Bus Riders

Buses will be picking up students along Erie Street, so there will be no parking allowed on that street during dismissal. If you need to pick up your child from Park School, please make sure to only cross Erie Street using the designated crosswalk on 6th and Erie with the help of the crossing guard.

I would like to express my gratitude once again for your cooperation during this process. Please note that dismissal may take longer at the beginning of the year, but on average it should be completed within 10-15 minutes from start to finish.
