As we celebrate Love Our Schools Week, we are beyond proud to share that our number one reason for loving our schools — both Park and Hulet — is because of our incredible students and staff! ❤️
Every day, our students and staff work tirelessly to ensure our schools are places where we are respectful, responsible, safe, and kind. They show growth and progress in their learning, and it shows in everything they do.
We are thrilled to announce that Park and Hulet have officially earned the label of a B School by the Arizona Department of Education (ADE) based on our AASA scores for the 2024-2025 school year! 🎉 This is a huge improvement from our C rating in 2023-2024, and we couldn’t be more proud!
This success didn’t come by accident — our dedicated staff focused on essential standards and worked hard to meet each student’s individual needs, while our students showed perseverance, hard work, and determination to demonstrate growth and proficiency.
Thank you, staff and students, for being the BEST! 👏 You are the heart of what makes our schools so special, and you are the reason we LOVE OUR SCHOOLS! 🏫💙

This week, we’re celebrating Love Our Schools Week — a time to recognize all the amazing things that make Park and Hulet Elementary such a special place to learn and grow! At Hulet, one of the programs we’re especially excited to highlight is our new reading program, Book Taco! 📚🌮
Book Taco is an engaging platform that helps students strengthen their reading comprehension skills while having fun. Students can read books, take quizzes, earn rewards, and track their progress — all while discovering a deeper love for reading! 🌟
We’re proud to showcase Book Taco as one of the many reasons we LOVE OUR SCHOOL and celebrate the joy of learning every day at Hulet! 💛💙

At Park and Hulet Elementary, we believe in supporting every student’s journey to success — and our Power of 5 program is one of the ways we make that happen!
💪 What is Power of 5?
Power of 5 is an after-school tutorial program where dedicated teachers work closely with small groups of 5–7 students. This focused time allows us to provide extra support through our district’s PASS Plan, which stands for:
✨ Personal
📚 Academic
💬 Social
🏆 Success
🗓️ The program typically runs from October through April and is by invitation to students who would benefit from additional support in these areas.
Through Power of 5, students build confidence, strengthen academic skills, and grow socially — all while being personally supported by caring educators who believe in their potential. 💙
💖 As we celebrate Love Our School Week, we’re proud to highlight Power of 5 — one of the many amazing programs that make Park and Hulet a place where students thrive, grow, and are loved every day!

Today, our students and staff practiced a Shelter in Place – Drop, Cover, and Hold drill as part of our ongoing commitment to keeping everyone safe at school.
During this drill, students practiced how to protect themselves by:
✅ Dropping to their hands and knees.
✅ Covering their head and neck with one arm and hand.
✅ Holding on to a sturdy table or desk leg, or if no shelter was nearby, moving next to an interior wall away from windows and tall furniture.
This type of drill is similar to our tornado drills, where students stay low and away from hazards.
We are proud of how calm and responsible our students were during today’s practice. Thank you for your continued support as we work together to ensure our school remains a safe place for learning! 💙
