Goodies with Grands
Dear Families,

Tomorrow marks our first Friday of the school year, and we want to remind you that Fridays are half days for our students:

Park will release at 11:50 a.m.

Hulet will release at 11:55 a.m.

If you would like to make any changes to your childโ€™s dismissal procedures, please call the office before 10:00 a.m. This ensures we have enough time to communicate changes to your child before lunch and helps us keep all students safe.

We have officially made it through our first full week of school, and we are so grateful to have your wonderful students back with us! Thank you for entrusting us with your most precious possession and for working alongside us to ensure your childโ€™s success. We truly value your partnership and look forward to continuing this teamwork throughout the year.

We hope you enjoy a wonderful weekend with your children!

Warmly,
Mrs. Tow

Dear Families,

Today is the big dayโ€”the first day of school! Weโ€™re so excited to welcome our Roadrunners back for a fantastic year ahead.

As we kick off the new year, we kindly ask for your help to ensure student safety and smooth operations during drop-off and pick-up:

๐Ÿš— Morning Drop-Off:
Drive slowly and be alert for students walking to school.

Stop for school buses when their flashers are on.

When dropping off your child, please pull all the way up to the front of the school.

Our staff will be there to greet your child and assist them out of the car.

Please remain in your vehicleโ€”this helps keep traffic moving efficiently and safely.

๐Ÿ•’ Dismissal Reminders:
If you have a change to your childโ€™s dismissal plan, please call the office before 2:00 PM.

No last-minute changes will be accommodated to ensure student safety and smooth transitions.

If you are picking up your child in the afternoon, please be patient and stay in the car line while we learn your vehicles.

Today, you will receive a name plate with your childโ€™s nameโ€”please place it in your window to help us speed up the pick-up process.

๐ŸšŒ Bus Riders:
Our bus drivers are also learning new routes and stop locations.

Please be patient and allow extra time during the first few weeks of school, especially when waiting at afternoon bus stops.

We truly appreciate your patience and support. The first few weeks can be a little slower, but the process gets faster as we learn and settle into our routines. Your cooperation helps us keep all students safeโ€”our number one priority.

Letโ€™s make this a wonderful school year together!

Warmly,
Mrs. Tow

Welcome Back
๐Ÿ“…๐ŸŽ’ First Day of School โ€“ Monday, August 4th! ๐ŸŽ’๐Ÿ“…

We are excited to welcome all our students back for a great new school year at Park and Hulet Schools!

๐Ÿšช Doors open at 7:40 AM for students to eat breakfast.
๐Ÿ•— School begins promptly at 8:10 AM! Please be on time!

๐Ÿšธ Morning Drop-Off & Arrival Reminders
๐Ÿš— If your child is a car rider, please:

Pull up to the front doors

Stay in your car while dropping off

Let staff help your child transition into the building. Weโ€™ll guide them to breakfast and to class!

๐ŸšŒ If your child rides the bus, please:

Ensure they are at their bus stop a few minutes early to avoid missing the bus.

๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธ As students walk to and from school, please be patient and vigilant while driving near school zones. Watch for students and crossing guards in the crosswalks.

๐Ÿ•’ Dismissal Times
Park School: 3:05 PM

Hulet School: 3:10 PM

โœ… If your child is a pickup student:

Please stay in your car in the pickup line.

Place your childโ€™s name card (given at Meet the Teacher or on the first day) in the window so staff can identify your vehicle.

Do not park across the street or walk up to get your child โ€” this is unsafe and disrupts traffic flow.

๐ŸšŒ For bus riders: Please be patient during the first few weeks as our drivers learn the routes. Drop-off times may vary slightly as we ensure every student gets home safely.

๐Ÿ“ž Want to change your childโ€™s dismissal plan?
Please call the office before 2:00 PM so we can communicate the change clearly. No last-minute changes will be allowed to ensure student safety.

โค๏ธ We appreciate your support and patience as we begin the school year. Our #1 priority is keeping students safe.

Letโ€™s make this a great year, Roadrunners!

Dear Roadrunner Families,

As we begin an exciting new school year, we want to share an important goal for our school community: improving attendance and reducing chronic absenteeism across all grade levels.

At Holbrook Unified School District #3, we know that every day in school matters. Research consistently shows that students who attend school regularly are more likely to succeed academically, stay on track, and build strong relationships that support their growth.

๐Ÿ’ก Did You Know?
A student is considered chronically absent if they miss 10% or more of the school year, whether the absences are excused or unexcused. That adds up quicklyโ€”just 2 days a month can place a student at risk!

๐Ÿซ Why Attendance Matters:

Builds strong academic habits

Improves reading and math performance

Encourages social development and classroom engagement

Creates consistent routines for success

We absolutely understand that there are times when absences are unavoidableโ€”illness, medical appointments, and family emergencies happen. Our goal is not perfection, but progress and partnership. We are committed to supporting our students and families however we can.

โœ… What You Can Do:

Schedule appointments outside of school hours when possible

Keep routines consistent with bedtime and morning routines

Let us know if you're facing challengesโ€”weโ€™re here to help!

๐Ÿ“ข Stay tuned for exciting initiatives and incentives that weโ€™ll be rolling out to encourage great attendance throughout the year.

Thank you for helping us build a culture of learning where every student shows up, grows, and succeeds. Together, we can make a difference.

With appreciation,
Mrs. Tow
