Kellyn Morris, Indian Wells Elementary School 6th grader and son of Jessica Lano (grandson of Jimmy and Earleen Lano), is a lead actor in the film “Cleaning's a Cakewalk”!
Kellyn and the Lano family invite you to the premiering of Cleaning’s a Cakewalk at the Inaugural Navajo Nation Short Film Festival on September 07, 2024 at the Window Rock Cinema, after the Navajo Nation Parade.
Kellyn plays a creative and independent young boy, Albert, as he learns the value of hard work and finds his place in his community after having to clean the Chapter House which he finds out is no cakewalk in the park.
Way to go Kellyn! A star is born! Now that's The Roadrunner Way!

We want to share some important details about our upcoming ITM (virtual learning) days on Monday and Tuesday, August 12/13. Teachers have prepared ITM lesson boxes for each student. These boxes contain all the materials needed for the instructional activities. We will distribute the ITM lessons via the bus system on Monday afternoon. Please watch for the delivery schedule to ensure you receive the box. I will send a schedule out on Monday morning with specific times and locations. Please look out for the bus route schedule and have your child ready to receive their ITM lesson box. The boxes will be delivered to a designated bus stop. If you miss or cannot make the delivery location, please let us know, and we will arrange an alternative way for you to pick it up. Reminder: Your child must be enrolled before attending school! The first day of school for Indian Wells is on August 5th. For enrollment questions, please call (928) 654-3622. Enrollment can be completed by visiting the Holbrook District website and clicking on the Parent Portal - Infinite Campus.

Open Enrollment Dates for the 2024-2025 School Year!
This is for new students and those needing assistance with registration.
Please bring all supporting documents:
- Proof of Residency
- Any Individual Education Plans (IEPs) from former school
- Certificate of Indian Blood (this is required for Native American students to receive tribal benefits)
- Birth Certificate (State, not Hospital)
- Updated and Current Immunization Records
- Withdrawal from previous school; transcript or last report card
2024-2025 Registration is now open! Returning students' parents can register their students by visiting the HUSD website "Quicklinks" and IC-Parent Portal.
HUSD 3 will be offering a summer food program this summer during the month of June for HUSD 3 students and community members under the age of 18. Please see the information in the flyers! Come join our Eat and Greet program!
On Wednesday, May 15th, during the school day, the students from IWE will be visiting HJHS.

We would like to extend a warm welcome to our final IWES parent night! This is a great opportunity for you to bring your family and enjoy a fun-filled evening with information and food. The event aims to build a better future for our children and strengthen our community. Additionally, there will be information available for HHS students.
The event will be held at IWES on April 25th from 4 pm to 7 pm. We are excited to see you and your family there!

This is a reminder that on Monday, April 8th, there will be no school. Indian Wells Elementary School will not be in session in recognition of the solar eclipse that will occur that day. To recognize cultural sensitivity, staffing, and safety, Indian Wells Elementary School will not be in session and will make up the day on Thursday, May 16th, which was scheduled to be a day off for IWES students.
