The final quarter of the school year begins on Monday, March 17th! We have less than 50 school days left in the year!
We have a lot to accomplish as we begin the last phase of the school year! State testing, graduation, promotion and end of year activities are just around the corner!

Parent-teacher conferences are scheduled for Thursday, March 6th, from 1:00 to 6:30 PM. This is an excellent opportunity to connect with your child’s teacher and discuss their progress.

This month, we are celebrating Kindness Month with a school-wide focus on the power of kindness in our daily lives. Students are learning about the different types of bullying and the difference between bullying and unkind behavior. Through discussions and activities, we are reinforcing the message of "Be Kind" and recognizing the positive impact of kindness on our school community. We encourage you to continue these conversations at home by celebrating acts of kindness with your child. Join us in a Kindness Challenge by encouraging your child to do one kind act each day and talk about how it made them feel.
HUSD got into the holiday spirit this past weekend with IWES and Park Elementary participating in the Festival of Trees and parade!
HUSD will begin winter break Monday, December 23rd and will return to school on Monday, January 6th!

We invite you to help create an ornament to be added to our tree for the Festival of Trees! Please ensure that each ornament includes the student's name and grade level. All ornaments must be submitted to Miss Lewis by December 11 at 3:30 PM. Due to the tree set up, we cannot accept late submissions.

To celebrate, we’ve organized Spirit Days spread throughout the month, making it easy for everyone to join in on the most convenient days—participation is welcome whenever it works best for you. Each themed day, from traditional clothing to language pride, honors Native culture with inclusivity and respect, inviting all Roadrunners, Native and non-Native, to celebrate together.
