HJHS!! How Great Is This...
Congratulations to HJHS Math Teacher, Mrs. Beth Plumb, for being awarded the Arizona Coyotes Future Goals January Teacher of the Month! Additionally, Mrs. Plumb is the first teacher in Navajo County to receive this recognition.
In lieu of a final exam, HJHS 7th Graders completed "Math Scholar Hockey" through the EveriFi Future Goals Math Challenge which is designed to bring math and engineering concepts to life through hockey (STEM) and exploring real-world applications of STEM through sports while focusing specifically in the area of Number Sense (which a large piece of the Arizona State Standards for Mathematics K-12). Students were also given the opportunity to complete the Future Goals Science Challenge as well.
