December is a Busy Time at HJHS:
December 5-15: MAP Testing-Winter Benchmark (ELA, Math, Science)
December 12: HJHS Band Students Christmas Concert-6:00pm GGPAC (HHS Auditorium)
December 12-16: Getting into the Christmas Spirit-Spirit Week
Monday: Baby It's Cold Outside: Holiday Hats, Scarfs, Socks Day
Tuesday: Fa La La La La: Ugly Christmas Sweater and Accessories Day
Wednesday: Dreaming of a White Christmas: Pajama Day
Thursday: I'll Be Home for Christmas: Christmas Movie Day
Friday: Jingle Bell Rock: Red, Green, White out Day
December 15: HJHS After School Dance 4:00pm-6:00pm. Students must have a permission slip signed and returned NO LATER than December 12th in order to attend. This is a casual dance and students will wear what they wear to school. Students will not need to change clothes and should not be checked out to get dressed up. Many students will already be dressed for spirit day. No bags or backpacks will be allowed into the dance. This dance will be our first in several years. We just want to offer the students some fun. The dance is free. Student Council concessions will be available. Not outside food or drinks will be allowed. Students must be considered in good standing to attend, including having 70 or more positive behavior points.
December 16: Student Council Class Games to Build Positive Connections
December 19: HJHS Choir Students Christmas Concert-6:00pm GGPAC (HHS Auditorium)
December 19-20: Basketball Tryouts. Students must be in good academic and behavior standing starting the first day of tryouts.
December 21: HJHS Talent Show and Fall Sports Awards Assembly-9:00am GGPAC (HHS Auditorium). Parents are welcome to attend.
December 21: End of Quarter 2/Semester 1; Last Day of School before Winter Break
December 22-January 3: Winter Break
January 4, 2023: Quarter 3/Semester 2 Begins
