IWES BIKE TRAIL! Volunteers from Oregon to Colorado are helping construct a bike trail that IWES students, community members and bike enthusiasts can use! First of a kind! Thank you to everyone for making the bike trail a reality!!!

Ben Williams- Class of 2013! Benjamin Williams has accepted a PhD position at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC for the fall of 2022. Ben just received his Masters Degree in Neuroscience from BYU. Mr. & Mrs. Williams noted, “We couldn't be more proud and grateful he got such a great start at HUSD”! Way to go Benjamin! WHEN ONE ROADRUNNER SUCCEEDS, WE ALL SUCCEED!

Senior banners are going to be ordered soon. In order to have your picture placed on a banner and hung along Navajo Blvd. and Hope Dr. you have to have a picture on file with Mr. Burks. If you took a cap and gown picture here at school we have your picture on file. If you had pictures taken from an outside vendor you will need to bring a picture to Mr. Burks ASAP. To all parents and guardians of HHS students: Parent Teacher Conferences are being held today from 12:30-4:30 and 5:30-7:30. Teachers will be available for in person conferences during these times. You can stop by the office first to get your child's schedule along with a map of the campus. Conferences can also be held virtually via Google Meets or by telephone. It is tax time! HUSD patrons may reduce their tax bill through a tax credit donation to the school club of their choice! Tax credits are used for student programs that go directly to the club of your choice! Tax credits are collected prior to filing through April for this year’s tax season. HHS will be hosting parent teacher conferences on Thursday, February 3. We will not be taking appointments this time since teachers will be in their classrooms available to meet with parents from 12:30-4:30 and 5:30-7:30. Only parents, staff with passes, and AIA passes will be allowed admittance due to community spread of COVID in Holbrook and Winslow areas. There will be no tickets sold at the door. A reminder that HUSD 3 will be closed in observance of the Martin Luther King national holiday on Monday, January 17, 2022. School will resume on Tuesday, January 18th.

Starting today, both girls and boys basketball programs will begin a 5 day pause of all practices and games due to an uptick in COVID cases. The games with Show Low, Blue Ridge, Winslow and Tuba City are cancelled and will be rescheduled. . Once those dates are finalized a notice will be sent out. Practice sessions will resume on Wednesday, January 19th.

ROADRUNNER FANS!! We are starting new ticketing procedures for sporting events. You can now get your Roadrunner sports tickets online prior to the game right from your phone. Beginning with Saturday's home basketball game vs. ALA Gilbert North, Roadrunner Fans may purchase their tickets through the GOFAN APP: https://gofan.co/search This procedure and company is the same one we used for our home state playoff games last year and will need to use for any home playoff games this year. Parents will have the opportunity to purchase tickets prior to the general public via a special link sent to them or their student athlete's email at least 24 hours before the general public link will be opened up and shared on the GOFAN app at a time indicated for each individual game. Opposing teams will also be sent a link for them to purchase tickets as well through their athletic director who will share that specific game link with them. Fans will need to have a phone with them upon arrival so their tickets can be validated by our school personnel upon entering the high school gym. Please download your tickets before entering the lobby. We will still allow a limited number of walk up ticket sales depending on the event. Our traditional large crowd games may not have a many walk up tickets available. Our rescheduled Chinle game on January 12th will still be using the pre sold tickets. This event will not be part of the FOFAN procedures and no links will be sent out for this game. Those Chinle game tickets will go back on sale beginning Monday, January 19, at the Performing Arts Center Ticket Booth at the following hours: 7:30-9:00 a.m. Noon to 1:30 p.m., and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we add this new ticketing procedure to make game ticketing more manageable and accessible.
