
HJHS! Boys and Girls Basketball! Due to winter weather conditions in the Payson area basketball games for TODAY, Monday, Feb. 13th are cancelled. The HJHS basketball teams will have practice.


Parent-Teacher Conferences Thursday, February 16th!
Early release on Thursday, February 16th on half-day release schedule!
Conferences 1 pm to 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at HJHS and HHS.
Park and Hulet conferences scheduled with each teacher as needed as Hulet and Park participate in the Academic Parent Teacher Teams nights.
Indian Wells will host conferences on March 9th at IWES.

~If you have not yet set up your parent-teacher conference time you can do so by calling the school office at 928-524-3959.
~ If you need to schedule your conference for an alternate day/time please reach out to your child's PASS Class teacher directly.
~Parents are welcome to meet with any of their child's teachers upon request. The P.A.S.S. Class teacher will be happy to help set that up.


The Holbrook Elks Lodge #2450 and HUSD 3 would like to congratulate Manny and Payton (students at HJHS) for finish in first place and runner up respectively!
Manny will be representing the Arizona Elks Lodge at regionals in Las Vegas on February 25th!

HJHS 8th Grade Bridge to HHS Success!
~The 8th graders attended their first session for transitioning into high school. HHS Principal Mr. Hargrave and Assistant Principal Dr. Haussman joined us to talk about high school credits, graduation requirements, classes offered and the many opportunities HHS has to offer their students.
~First step in transitioning to the high school.... 8th grade Promotion on May 25th! 🌟 We reviewed the expectations to finish out their elementary years with success to ensure they are on track for promoting.
~We were excited to kick off the 8th grade transition process today and are looking forward to celebrating the 8th students as they complete their 8th grade school year! 🌟🎉🌟
~Our first round of 8th grade promotion information will be given out to our 8th grade parents during parent-teacher conferences next week.



HJHS student Eli Natoni received a surprise visit and some cool "stuff" from HPD, Chief Christensen and Sergeant Patterson, as a thank you for the Pony Express letter he wrote and sent to the department. Chief Christensen indicated this was the first time the department has received a letter via "Pony Express".
Thanks Eli for being 100% Roadrunner by showing your kindness and appreciation for the Holbrook Police Department.

HJHS! Boys Basketball @ St. Johns--Game Time Changes Today, February 2nd!
Today's boys basketball games will start earlier due to St. Johns referee scheduling needs. Our basketball boys away games will be at 3:30pm for 6th/7th and 4:30pm for 8th.
Because of the game time change, our boys teams will be dismissed from school a half hour earlier.

Cliff Johns, one of the first Native American basketball players at University of Arizona and Holbrook Girls Assistant Coach Elisha Johns-Aberle, played at San Diego State University, were recognized by the Phoenix Suns during Native American Heritage Month.

HJHS! Boys basketball took on Mogollon at home today! Good win by the 8th grade team 44-18! Both teams showed great sportsmanship and played hard! 🏀




HJHS! Elks Hoop Shoot Winners!
Manny Guerrero and Payton Orton both took First Place in the AZ Elks North District Hoop Shoot Competition in Camp Verde last weekend. Both will move on to the next round-State Level Competition in February.
