HJHS! FOOTBALL & SOFTBALL Games CANCELLED! We just received word from the Winslow Athletic Director that they need to cancel the softball and football games against HJHS for tomorrow, Tuesday, August 30th. We know this is a disappointment for our players. We will work to reschedule if possible. Players will have practice.

HJHS! Help HJHS be the best it can be by joining us for Site Council. Our first monthly meeting will be held on Monday, August 29th at 4:00pm in the school library.

HJHS! Just a reminder: There is NO 8th Grade Football Practice today as Coach Begay is out.

HJHS! Due to this afternoon's chances of rain and potential inclement weather, today's running club will be cancelled. Runners will go home after school. Thank you for your understanding as we do our best to ensure the safety of our students and staff.

HJHS! Today's 8th Grade Softball Game has been changed to an AWAY GAME. The players will travel to Showlow to play at 4:00pm. Our players are showing their 100% Roadrunner Spirit and are excited to travel for today's game. GO ROADRUNNERS!

HJHS! Check it out! HJHS Robotics Club kicked off this week! We have 29 students already participating! These students are 100% Roadrunner and we can’t wait to see what they create this year! Any Interested students should reach out to Ms. Baloo or Ms. Jimenez to learn more about this amazing after school club!

Greetings Roadrunners! Fall sports are underway! We are excited to see our Roadrunner athletes in action! As we begin our sports season it is important to be reminded of the Roadrunner Pride that we display as Roadrunner fans! Please practice Roadrunner sportsmanship, please ensure your children are under your supervision when attending events and cheer loud for all Roadrunners! Holbrook vs Ganado- 7 pm at Roadrunner Stadium on Thursday, August 25th! Good luck to all our student-athletes and thank you for being great Roadrunner fans! Don't forget to pick up your season pass for all sports this year!

HJHS! Update: Due to the current weather conditions the 8th grade football game has been canceled for the remainder of today’s game. We will work to reschedule against Showlow! The players came out ready to work hard and show off that 100% Roadrunner Spirit! It’s going to be a great season!

HJHS! Our HJHS 8th grade football team kicked off their season against Showlow! First quarter and the team is working hard and looking good! Go Roadrunners! We got some weather and are currently on a lightening delay!

HJHS! Our HJHS 8th grade softball team is playing in their first game of the season! Currently down 8-0 against Joseph City but the girls are showing their 100% Roadrunner Spirit… working hard and staying strong! Our 7th grade team plays away tomorrow! Let’s Go Roadrunners!

HJHS! Chromebooks Coming Home! During Registration, if you indicated your child needed an at-home device we will be checking out and sending a Chromebook home with them tomorrow, Friday, August 19th. The Chromebook will come with a charger and carrying case. This device is for educational purposes and is to be kept at home. Students will not bring it back and forth to school. Devices will be turned in at the end of the school year. Students and parents are responsible for the care of their at-home device.

Get Excited...HJHS After School Clubs are Starting: ~Running Club (Tues/Thurs) with Ms. Baloo Starts Tuesday, August 16th ~Chess Club (Wednesdays) with Ms. Manning Starts Wednesday, August 24th ~Robotics Club (Mon/Wed) with Ms. Jimenez & Ms. Baloo Starts Monday, August 22nd. Students should reach out to the sponsor teacher to sign up or for more information.

HJHS! It was another successful day to start the 2022-2023 SY. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to teach your child(ren). We are privileged to be working with such a great group of students. Just a reminder about tomorrow: Friday (Aug. 5th) is a half day of school. HJHS students will be released at 12:00pm. Friday is P.A.S.S. (personal, academic, social, success) Class Day. Tomorrow students will receive their AVID binders, organization planners, attend a welcome back assembly, and engage in developing positive connections with peers and their Academic Success Coach. It's sure to be a great day!

Welcome Back, HJHS!! School starts tomorrow-Aug. 3rd @ 7:55am and releases at 3:35pm We are ready and we cannot wait to welcome our students to the 2022-2023 SY. Students will be given a copy of their class schedule upon arrival tomorrow morning. Tables will be set up in the quad by grade level and last name to pick up schedules. We will use the first couple days of school to get to know students, build positive connections, and help them get settled in and feel good about the new year. Important: If you did not register your child you will need to do so before they can report to classes. You can contact the office at 928-524-3959 if you have questions or need help. Reminder: HJHS open-house/meet the teachers is today from 2:30pm-4:00pm. We will not be handing out schedules today (Tues. Aug. 2nd) however they are visible through the Infinite Campus parent and/or student portal.

Greetings from HJHS: We are less than a week away from the 2022-2023 School Year! A few announcements as you wrap up the last days of Summer Break~~ HJHS Open House on Tuesday, August 2nd--2:30pm-4:00pm First Day of School is Wednesday, August 3rd! 7:55am-First Bell 8:00am-School Day Begins Lunch: 6th Grade-11:55am; 7th/8th Grade-12:35pm 3:35pm-School Day Ends School Supplies: Students will be provided a supply pouch with basic supplies (pencils, pens, eraser, highlighters) and an AVID binder for organization. If students prefer to get their own binder (3in or 4in) &/or additional supplies that is just fine. Athletic Packet/Physicals: Fall Sports (Football/Softball/Running Club) will begin on August 8th. Students need a completed athletic packet to participate. They can be picked up in the school office. Registration must be completed before students can start school....don't forget to register ASAP. We look forward to seeing our students soon.

HJHS Reminder and Office Information! Back to School Registration is Open. If you have not already registered your child(ren) for the 2022-2023 SY now is the time. You can register online by logging into your Infinite Campus Parent Portal at: https://azcloud1.infinitecampus.org/campus/portal/holbrook_unified.jsp This week, the HJHS campus is open for in-person registration (still online) for new and returning students as follows: Today, July 21st: 8 am - 4:00 pm and Friday, July 22nd: 8 am - 11:00 am.
