
HJHS! What's Happening?
If you missed the FCC Chromebook Device Check Out (you would have received a letter with your child's report card if you signed up for the device during registration) there is still time. You will need to attend the informational meeting tonight 1/6/22 at the GGPAC at the High School between 6:00pm-7:00pm tonight or at Indian Wells Elementary School tomorrow 1/7/22 between 10:00am-12:00pm. If you are on the list and miss the check out this round the next available time will be at Parent-Teacher conferences in early February!
TOMORROW-January 7th the HJHS Student Council sponsored Talent Show will be held at the GGAC at 8:45am. This is rescheduled from Dec. 17th.
Friday, January 21st HJHS will host the Semester 1 Awards Assembly at 8:45am in the HJHS Gym. We will send notice home if your child will be receiving semester 1 awards.
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on February 3rd. Success Coaches will send out more information as the date gets closer.
Semester 2 is off to a great start and we look forward to all the students successes throughout quarter 3 and 4.


Reminder:
HJHS Chromebook at home device checkout will occur on Wednesday, January 5th beginning at 6 pm at the George Gardner Center.
Parents must attend to receive an at-home device.

Greetings from HJHS! We hope everyone is enjoying Winter Break!
Just a reminder, Quarter 3/Semester 2 begins Monday, January 3rd.
Students will be able to pick up their semester two schedule in the library when they arrive on campus Monday morning or they can check their schedule through Infinite Campus starting Friday, Dec. 31st after 12pm.

HJHS students are doing a great job on their MAP testing this week and we want to recognize their hard work and focus with some holiday fun!
Next week, December 13th-17th will be the HJHS "Spreading Holiday Cheer" Spirit Week! Each day will have a different attire day as well as many fun activities, games and class competitions planned.
Our Spirit week is sure to fill HJHS with joy, smiles and holiday cheer!

Roosevelt, the Ambassador for Childhelp, is a 14 year old from Mesa, AZ. Roosevelt, alongside her dad, presents her message through music and uses her voice to reach other children across the nation. Her message is: Keep children safe from hurt, harm, and bullying-- Five steps to speak up and be safe from abuse. Music and the Message by Rosevelt is intended to inspire, uplift and bring hope to others while advocating for children to speak up against abuse and bullying.
The presentation will be held at the GGPAC at the High School and will last about 40 minutes.
Grades 6th-8th will attend this event together, if you prefer that your child does not attend the presentation of “Music and the Message” please contact the school by 8:00am Thursday morning.
