Never a dull moment at HJHS!! Halloween Fun Run and Scavenger Hunt was a Success!!

HJHS! Halloween Fun Run Day tomorrow, Friday, October 29th. Costumes allowed; no full face mask coverings or weaponry of any kind. We look forward to this fun day at HJHS.

HJHS! Tomorrow-Thurs. Oct. 28th is "Wall With Me To Be Drug Free". Busses will drop students off at the Old Courthouse. Parents please drop your child(ren) off there as well. Parents are welcome to walk with us. We will begin our Drug Free Celebration at 7:45am. Let's See It! Wear Red Day!

HJHS! Walk With Me To Be Drug Free! This Thursday, October 28th HUSD #3 will walk to school from the old courthouse. Busses will drop students off directly at the old courthouse. Parents, if you drive your child to school please drop them off by 7:45am at the old courthouse. Parents are also welcome to join our walk to school. We will have staff at HJHS to supervise any students that are dropped off at the school or that walk directly to school. Also, Thursday, October 28th we are encouraging all staff and students to wear red in support of Being Drug Free! We are looking forward to our "Walk With Me To Be Drug Free" walk to school.

HJHS--Halloween Fun Run! Friday, October 29th will be a Halloween Costume Fun Run Day at HJHS. You read that correct "costumes allowed" fun run! Full face Halloween masks will not be allowed. We need to be able to see who our students are. Also, no weaponry (fake or otherwise) will be allowed. Looking forward to seeing some creative costumes in a safe way.

HJHS! The Annual District Band Extravaganza will take place tonight at the GGPAC at the Holbrook High School beginning at 7:00pm. The band students of HJHS will be performing along with other band students in grades 5-12. We hope you can join us for a musical celebration.

HJHS! Wrestling started today. There's still time to join. If interested reach out to Mr. Orton Tuesday morning.

HJHS! Volleyball tryouts are underway. If your child didn't make it to tryouts today but they're still interested in volleyball have them reach out to Ms. McLaws first thing Tuesday morning!

HJHS! 8th Grade AVID Elective Students...spreading Kindness through Positive Messaging all over the HJHS Quad! Thanks for sharing Goodness :) Happy Fall Break (Oct. 11-15) HJHS!

HJHS! Fall Pictures are in. Student picture packages were sent home with students today (October 6th). If you did not purchase Fall school pictures there is still time to order (see the proofs and ordering details sent home today). TONIGHT, District Choir Concert at 6:00pm GGPAC. HJHS choir students will be participating. Please join us for a musical event.

HJHS! We are experiencing issues with our phone lines throughout HUSD #3 this morning. Our tech department is working with Sparklight to resolve these issues as soon as possible.

HJHS Choir students will be participating in the District Choir Festival tomorrow, Wednesday, October 6th @ 6:00pm. Please join us at the GGPAC for this musical fun!

~HJHS~ The TikTok trend is still causing havoc in schools across the nation. With a new month upon us we are faced with the new TikTok challenge for October .."Slap a teacher/staff member on the backside". Slapping a teacher/staff member on the backside can be considered assault and will be taken seriously. If a student is caught participating in this current trend there will be disciplinary actions such as suspension, expulsion, and/or law enforcement involvement. This is a serious matter and teachers/staff members could press charges against any student that may engage in such behavior. It is our hope that you will discuss this trend with your child(ren) and reinforce appropriate school behaviors at home. Your continuous support is greatly appreciated as HJHS strives to be a safe place for your child(ren) academically, socially and emotionally.

HJHS no 8th grade football practice today (9/30). 8th grade players will go home after school.

HJHS. 8th grade softball game has been cancelled for today (9/30) due to weather. There will be practice.

6th/7th Home Softball Game for today (9/28) is cancelled due to the wet and muddy field conditions. There will be practice.

Holbrook Junior High School! Reminder: This week 9/20-9/24) is HHS homecoming and Spirit Week! Let's see that School Spirit, HJHS...Kicking it off with Pixar or Sports Day on Monday.

~HJHS~ The challenges of social media are real and we want you to know HJHS will be attentive regarding the new TikTok trend that is causing damage to schools across this country, including in our own school district. The TikTok challenge is encouraging students to destroy and steal school property and post about it on social media platforms. Damaging and stealing school property is a felony. If a student is caught destroying, defacing, and/or stealing school property there will be disciplinary actions such as suspension, expulsion, and/or law enforcement involvement. The home-to-school connection is invaluable regarding these matters. It is our hope that you will discuss this trend with your child(ren) and reinforce appropriate school behaviors at home. Your continuous support is greatly appreciated as HJHS strives to be a safe place for your child(ren) academically, socially and emotionally. ​
