Ben Williams- Class of 2013! Benjamin Williams has accepted a PhD position at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC for the fall of 2022. Ben just received his Masters Degree in Neuroscience from BYU. Mr. & Mrs. Williams noted, “We couldn't be more proud and grateful he got such a great start at HUSD”! Way to go Benjamin! Please ensure your child arrives to school on time so they are able to Give No Less Than Their Best! Checking students out early could jeopardize their ability to complete their test at their own pace. Once the test is started they must finish the same day. Next week they will be programming them so that they can use port view, move straight, make turns, display text and graphics and create custom images and sounds. How cool is that? Today's "Positive Connections" Class Games was a blast and full of students working together, communicating, supporting each other and simply having fun together. HJHS! 8th Grade Science--Learning In Action: Mr. Matt Smith with the Petrified Forest National Park visited today as the classes wrapped up their unit on the rock cycle and weathering/erosion/deposition. Mr. Smith expanded on teaching the importance of the Petrified Forest for studying igneous/sedimentary rocks and the changes brought onto the area by weathering/erosion/deposition as well as the affects to animal life. The students enjoyed their day of scientific learning.

HJHS! White Mountain League Finals today, Saturday, March 5th. While the HJHS Roadrunners are not playing in the finals today , 8th graders, Mya Francisco and Daniel John will be representing HJHS Roadrunners in the White Mountain League All-Star Game!! Landen Brown and Mya Francisco will be participating in the 3-point contest during half time of the All-Star Games! The All-Star Games will be played in the HHS Gym at 4:00pm (Girls) & 5:00pm (boys).
