HJHS is ready to welcome students back. Are you ready? Did you complete registration? Regiatration needs to be done prior to students starting school....even if you were with HUSD last year. School starts Wednesday, August 4th with the first bell ringing at 7:55am. Students will receive their schedule and supply pouch when arriving on campus Wednesday morning. Organizational binders will be given out on Friday. Open house will be 2:30-4:00 on Tuesday, August 3rd if you want to tour campus prior to starting on Wednesday. We are excited and looking forward to a great new school year!

HJHS! We are only one week away from kicking off the 2021-2022 school year. Are you ready? Did you get your child(ren) registered? If not please do so right away. All HUSD#3 returning students are required to register. SCHOOL STARTS AUGUST 4TH with the first bell ringing at 7:55am and the release bell ringing at 3:35pm. Friday will be a half day with a release time of 11:45-12:00. Lunch will still be served on Fridays. No specific school supplies will be needed. All students will receive a supply pouch with individual supplies, a 3-ring organizational binder and a daily planner. Schedules will be handed out as students arrive on campus with all HJHS staff greeting and welcoming them to the 2021-2022 school year. Athletics will require a valid physical be on file. Athletic packets can be picked up on the first day of school or in the school office. Official practice for Football and Softball begin on Monday, August 9th. Contact Mr. Orton, HJHS Athletic Director with questions at dorton@holbrook.k12.az.us HJHS will open its campus on Tuesday, August 3rd from 2:30-4:00 for parents/students that may want to drop in prior to starting school on Wednesday, August 4th. This will be an informal time to check out classrooms and the campus. Students can also get a copy of their schedule at that time. Back to school update: HUSD #3 is developing our school as Healthy Buildings for SY 21-22. All schools will have touchless systems in place to reduce touch points to keep all Roadrunners healthy! Here's to a healthy Holbrook!

HJHS Families: In preparation for returning to fulltime in person schooling we will open our campus for parents/students on Tuesday, August 3rd from 2:30pm-4:00pm. During this time students may pick up their schedule and stop by classrooms. We want to make sure everyone feels comfortable to start the new 21-22 school year by providing this informal opportunity to visit campus prior to the start of school. Day one of school: All students will receive a copy of their schedule when they arrive on Wednesday, August 4th. In addition, the entire HJHS staff will be ready to greet students and help direct them as to where they need to go. We will kick off with a whole school welcome before sending students to their first period class. We are excited to welcome the students of HJHS back for the new school year. Welcome to HHS and HJHS Deputy Sanchez! We are fortunate to be working with you as our School Resource Officer for the 2021-2022 SY. Here is what Deputy Sanchez has to say: "My name is Krystopher Sanchez. I am a Deputy with the Navajo County Sheriff's Office. As a teenager, I decided to dedicate my life to law enforcement so I could be a positive role model to the people in my community. My career with the Sheriff's Office began in July 2015 when I started working as a Detention Officer in the Navajo County Jail. In July 2017, I was sent to the Northeastern Arizona Law Enforcement Training Academy where I graduated and became a Deputy for Navajo County. This year, I will be taking on the new role of School Resource Officer for Holbrook High School and Holbrook Junior High School. I am very excited for this position as I grew up in Holbrook and attended Holbrook schools. My goal as the new School Resource Officer is to bridge the gap between law enforcement and students. I will provide useful knowledge on law related subjects and teach the students how to be safe."

Hello from HJHS! We hope everyone is well and enjoying the last bit of summer break. I am sending out this message again to ensure everyone received it. School will begin on Wednesday, August 4th with the first bell ringing at 7:55am. We have spent the summer preparing for our return to full time in-person schooling. We will continue to maintain health and wellness protocols to ensure we are providing a safe and healthy educational environment. Face masks will be optional however we will continue to have masks available for those needing or wanting them. Students will not need any specific school supplies as they will be provided with an individual supply pouch and a three ring organizational binder. Students will be given a copy of their class schedule as they arrive on-campus the morning of Wednesday, August 4th. Chromebooks will be assigned after school starts and when everyone gets settled in. We are excited to see our students back and to kick off what is sure to be a great new year. A final reminder: All students returning to HUSD#3 are required to complete the 21-22 SY registration prior to the start of school. Please visit your Infinite Campus Parent Portal to register your child(ren) by visiting quick links on the district or school website or at: https://azcloud1.infinitecampus.org/campus/portal/holbrook_unified.jsp Once you are logged into the portal you will select "more" at the bottom of the left hand side menu then click "Online Registration". From there you will be able to work through the registration process. If you have any questions or need help with your Infinite Campus Parent Portal please contact the school office at 928-524-3959 to speak with Jamie. While online registration is open beginning July 5th the school office is closed that day for holiday. You can reach Jamie in the office beginning Tuesday, July 6th. Students NEW to HUSD #3 registration will be July 20th-23rd at school campuses.

How cool is this... HJHS 7th grade student, Noah Nelson sent his 2021 Pony Express Letter to Michael Jordan. Today he received a letter back with an autographed photo! Just goes to show you never know when your hard work will pay off :) Great work, Noah.
