~We are excited to be partnering with Navajo County Public Health to provide additional opportunities to support students and their mental/emotional/social well-being.
~HJHS along with Navajo County will be hosting our first 3-session series titled: "Creating Safe Spaces". This is a free activity filled workshop designed to help youth establish a peer support network centered around mental health, social skills and team building. This workshop will teach students about emotional well-being, noticing well-being of their peers, social awareness, moving away from assumptions, self care, trusted-adult connections and more.
~We hope you can join us for this workshop.

HJHS! REFRESH for SUCCESS!
Today the students of HJHS got to Refresh their AVID Binders. Students received a new binder, restocked their binder supplies, cleaned out the old and prepared their binder for the new! A new semester means new opportunities...opportunities for SUCCESS!
With their Refreshed, Renewed, and Rejuvenated Binders the students of HJHS are heading into SUCCESS!

HJHS!
It is our goal to ensure that the second semester of the 2022-2023 school year is positive and productive leading to SUCCESS.
A few things to help students be successful:
*Organization: When students use their daily planner/agenda it can help them stay on top of classwork and assignments as well as help with time management skills.
*Schoolwork: While daily homework is not being assigned at HJHS, students are expected to complete assignments at home if they are not finishing in class. When students complete any unfinished work at home it helps them stay on top of their grades and assignments giving them more time to stay focused on current/present learning while in class.
*Attendance: Regular attendance is crucial to ensure students are receiving instruction of the AZ State Standards. Students who attend school regularly have been shown to achieve at higher levels because they are getting the content and information as it is being taught rather than trying to catch up on their own ultimately leading to an increase in school success.
When combined, these things can lead to Positive and Productive Learning...SUCCESS!
Here's to a Successful Second Semester at HJHS!

Greetings from HJHS! We hope everyone enjoyed Winter Break!
Just a reminder, Quarter 3/Semester 2 begins tomorrow, January 4th. Students will be able to pick up their semester two schedule in the library when they arrive on campus Wednesday morning or they can check their schedule through Infinite Campus.
Welcome back, HJHS! We are looking forward to a super second semester.
