HJHS ITM (Instructional Time Model) Packets!
*In an effort to provide equitable academic access during bad weather (ITM Days) a packet has been created for ALL of the students of HJHS and the internet is not needed. Students will need to use their notes that are kept in their AVID binders in addition to the packet materials on ITM Days.
*The packet includes Math and English Language Arts content aligned to the State Standards as well as a sketchbook, colored pencils, regular pencils and a pencil sharpener to create academic "one-pagers" when assigned.
*The packet includes instructions and assignments listed in order of ITM Days.
*Students are expected to keep these packets in tact and at home so they have them available for any future ITM days.

Congratulations to HJHS Students and Staff of the Month for December!

HJHS! It is our goal to ensure that the second semester of the 2023-2024 school year is positive and productive leading to SUCCESS.
A few things to help students be successful:
*Organization: When students use their daily planner/agenda it can help them stay on top of classwork and assignments as well as help with time management skills.
*Schoolwork: While daily homework is not being assigned at HJHS, students are expected to complete assignments at home if they are not finishing in class. When students complete any unfinished work at home it helps them stay on top of their grades and assignments giving them more time to stay focused on current/present learning while in class.
*Attendance: Regular attendance is crucial to ensure students are receiving instruction of the AZ State Standards. Students who attend school regularly have been shown to achieve at higher levels because they are getting the content and information as it is being taught rather than trying to catch up on their own ultimately leading to an increase in school success.
When combined, these things can lead to Positive and Productive Learning...SUCCESS! Here's to a Successful Second Semester at HJHS!
