Greetings from HJHS: We are only one week away from the 2023-2024 School Year! A few announcements as you wrap up the last days of Summer Break~~ ~~HJHS Open House is Tuesday, August 1st from 2:30pm-4:00pm. ~~First Day of School is Wednesday, August 2nd!~~ ~~7:55am-First Bell ~~8:00am-School Day Begins ~~Lunch: 6th Grade-11:55am; 7th/8th Grade-12:35pm ~~3:35pm-School Day Ends ~~School Supplies: Students will be provided a supply pouch with basic supplies (pencils, pens, eraser, highlighters) and an AVID binder for organization. If students prefer to get their own binder (3in or 4in) &/or additional supplies that is just fine. ~Refillable Water Bottles are HIGHLY Encouraged for students. ~~Athletic Packet/Physicals: Fall Sports (Football/Softball/Running Club) will begin on August 7th. Students need a completed athletic packet to participate. They can be picked up in the school office. ~~Registration must be completed before students can start school....don't forget to register ASAP. ~~Returning Students: Schedules are now viewable through Infinite Campus. ~~We look forward to seeing our students soon.

School Sports Physicals: North Country HealthCare is offering easy access for students to get their sports physicals done before school starts. No appointments needed on June 22nd and July 13th. Call North Country directly at 928-524-2851 for more information.

HJHS 7th Graders enjoyed ending their last full day of the 2022-2023 SY with a group kickball game. We love when the students come together to have fun and make positive connections. Great job 7th graders!

HJHS is sending a HUGE Shout-Out to our 8th Graders that promoted out of their elementary years and are now officially heading into high school. You persevered and stepped up for Success. YOU ALL HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO DO GREAT THINGS. Now, be proud as you head into the next four years and take this world by storm! We can't wait to watch you all shine!

HUSD #3 will host a summer food program again this summer. The summer program will begin on June 5th and run through July 27th. The summer food service program is for all children under the age of 18! Please check the district website for locations and details! Have a great summer Roadrunners!

Reminder for 8th Graders Participating in this years promotion ceremony: Tomorrow, May 23rd is another 8th grade promotion practice which will include a walkthrough at Roadrunner Stadium. Participating students need to be at school on-time as we will begin first thing in the morning. We will then Celebrate Promotion with an afternoon BBQ Lunch, Games and Activities. Students should bring a water bottle for the morning as well as sunscreen and hats are encouraged as we are expecting nothing but sunshine and warm temps. We are looking forward to a great day :)
