Greetings, Parents, and Guardians, Indian Wells Elementary school was alerted to a possible concern in the areas/communities serving IWES regarding people in a white van that may be engaging in unwanted communications with people in these communities. As a result, HUSD 3 will heighten supervision protocols throughout the district which will require ALL STUDENTS ARE PICKED UP AND SUPERVISED BY AN ADULT AT BUS DROP OFFS. Please be on time to pick up students from the bus. Students that are not picked up will be brought back to the respective schools and will need to be picked up by their parents. At this time there have been no specific incidents pertaining to this matter that we have been made aware of; however, we wish to be proactive in our communications and protocols to ensure the safety of our students and communities. Thank you for your help keeping everyone safe!

When One Roadrunner Succeeds, We All Succeed! Kelly Hill, Cariannalynn White, and Cade Shumway are finalists in the Reel Milk Moments Scholarship Contest. This is impressive, considering there are only 16 finalists in the state. These 3 students will represent Holbrook High School at the Fiesta Bowl on December 31, 2022. Completing this scholarship was an assignment in Ms. Liddle's Senior English class. Students were required to make a video that was 30 seconds or less promoting the benefits of real milk or real dairy in a creative way. More information here: https://arizonamilk.org/reel-milk-moments-scholarship-contest/ Check out the videos: Cariannalynn: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Za-1052jkXL2z49hGLMvwx8wb2xTBCaj/view?usp=share_link Cade: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qmY5yT-e2wZf6Nv3Nf_AkHJVqw3ATxv1/view?usp=share_link Kelly: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uHsfku04hTH1gNK4HHOB_MgJ-XA4Mqkz/view?usp=share_link Good luck and thanks for representing HHS!

Jeff George- HHS Class of 1980 spoke to HHS students last week about careers in engineering, technology and math as part of the HHS Grow AZ program! Mr. George graduated from HHS in 1980 and ASU in 1986. He has been involved in the design and implementation of Content Protection (cryptography) for various products at Intel Corporation for the last 16 years. He is part of a team of software engineers that design and implement cryptography software. Jeff’s work has been used for content protection of High-Definition Television (HDTV) as well as the protection of vital information stored on Intel products. Jeff has received multiple awards in his career but the multiple Emmy awards for contribution to HDTV, while at Intel, are his favorites. Thank you Mr. George for sharing your experiences and inspiring Roadrunners! Once a Roadrunner, Always a Roadrunner!

For those traveling to Hopi for tonight's Varsity Football Game please see the following information shared with us: **All Individuals are required to mask up except when actively eating or drinking. Players actively participating in the event can remove their masks. ** Kickoff is set for 7:00 pm (AZ Time). It is our senior night, so we will have a brief ceremony at 6:45. **We ask spectators and teams to practice social distance when possible. **We won't have a concession stand this week but several student groups will be selling food items. Fans are welcome to bring in outside food and drinks but need to adhere to the school's alcohol and drug free policy. **Tickets can be purchased in advance through using the GoFan link below. Please keep in mind that using GoFan adds a $1 service fee per ticket purchased. Fans that are not interested in the online option can purchase tickets at the gate using cash only. It is $5 for adults and $3 for students. Ages 4 and under are free. https://gofan.co/app/events/694240?schoolId=AZ21893 **For fans unable to attend, the game will be streamed through the NFHS Network. It does require a subscription. I believe it is $12.99 per month and provides them ability to watch games all over the state and nation throughout the month. The link for tomorrow's game is: https://www.nfhsnetwork.com/events/hopi-high-school-keams-canyon-az/gamf17bf0aa8a For more details please see the picture below: LETS GO ROADRUNNERS!!!
